About Us
We are a family owned independent optometry practice conveniently located inside the Longmont Costco. Serving patients in Longmont and the surrounding areas of Firestone, Frederick, Boulder, Mead, and Niwot.
Yearly eye exams are important for your whole family. We strive to provide top-notch eye care at an affordable price. We are currently accepting new patients. Costco membership is not required for an eye exam. Walk-ins are welcome.
Our Services
Basic Exam
$89
Complete eye exam including a glasses Rx and ocular health assessment
Contacts Exam
$129
Complete eye exam including a glasses and basic contact lens Rx. Additional charges for astigmatism, multifocal, RGP, or specialty contacts
Medical Exam
$75-95
Ocular assessment for problem visits, such as red eyes, loss of vision, or painful eyes. Medical exams to manage conditions like glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataracts.
Insurances
We accept VSP and Spectera (United Healthcare) vision insurances, as well as Costco MES vision plan. You do not need a Costco membership to get an eye exam. The Costco Optical also accepts most insurance plans to use for the purchase of glasses and contacts.
Optomap Imaging
Our office is excited to offer the latest technology in retinal imaging to assess your eye health. Our Optomap retinal camera provides a detailed view of the back of the eye to evaluate serious medical conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. This provides a non-invasive way to get a view of the back of the eye, often without the need for dilation drops.

Timothy Whitmire, OD
Erica Whitmire, OD
Dr. Timothy Whitmire has been a practicing optometrist in Colorado since 2014. He completed his undergraduate studies at Penn State University. He went on to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he graduated with clinical honors in disease management and was awarded for his achievement in specialty contact lens design. Dr. Whitmire also specialized in pediatric care. His most prominent clinical rotations included the Palo Alto VA Medical Center in California, as well as emergency room care at the University of Maryland Medical Center in downtown Baltimore. He is originally from Pennsylvania, but couldn’t get to Colorado fast enough. He was drawn here by the allure of the outdoors and enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and hitting the links at many of our local golf courses.
Dr. Erica Whitmire has been practicing optometry in Colorado since 2014. She graduated as the valedictorian from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where she specialized in low vision and ocular disease management. Her most prominent clinical rotations included Veterans Affairs Medical Centers in Rhode Island and Columbia, South Carolina, where she furthered her knowledge of ocular disease. Dr. Whitmire grew up in Rhode Island before making Colorado her home. She loves the outdoors, and although she misses the ocean at times, she finds Colorado to be a great place to enjoy her favorite activities of running, hiking, and tennis. She and her husband love spending time with their son and their goldendoodle. They are passionate about helping their patients achieve their clearest vision and healthiest eyes.
